Preparations for the test
Step-by-step:
- Set all timer elements in your sequences to 5 minutes. This ensures that you receive all emails within the test.
- Check if all your online pages used in the campaign are functional - e.g. pages with entry form or possible download and thank you pages.
- Publish your campaign.
Test email
You can send a test delivery to a test email address of your choice for each individual email. Under each email (except for the email confirmation), you will find the item "Test email". Enter your email address here to send yourself a test.
Please note:
-
Placeholders are not replaced in test emails
Campaign process
Call up your landing page with the integrated form. Register as a new user. You should receive your confirmation e-mail within a very short time.
Please note:
- If the address you sign up with is already confirmed, it will skip the double opt-in.
- If you sign up again, the contact for the campaign will have to be reset to go through it again.
- If you register more than 5 times in short succession, the flood protection takes effect and registration is no longer possible for 24 hours.
Open the status mode in the campaign (top right, next to the "Publish" button).
Under Contacts -> Overview you will find the newly registered user with the e-mail status Confirmed (single opt-in). Click on the confirmation link in the e-mail you receive. You will be redirected to your Thank You page. A moment later you should also receive the next e-mail from your e-mail sequence.
Publish
When you have finished creating your campaign, click on the green "Publish" button in the top right-hand corner. Now your campaign is online. If you make changes to your campaign afterwards, the green button will show you the number of changes. Don't forget to publish your changes after you have finished, so that they will be counted.
The status mode
Activate the status overview by clicking on “Status Mode” in your campaign. This overview helps you monitor your campaign's progress. Above the icons of each element, you'll see a row of symbols with numbers. These numbers represent the number of users. Here's what the symbols mean:
Green checkmark: Processed. This is the total number of users who have successfully passed through the element since the campaign went live. Note: This does not take the email status into account! Even contacts who were not considered during the send-out are counted here.
Red circle with white square: Stopped. Number of users who have stopped at this point in the campaign (e.g., because no further element was connected).
Red circle with white bar: Ended (final). Number of users who exited the campaign at this point — for example, because the email confirmation wasn’t clicked within 48 hours.
Orange flag: Shows the number of users who left the sequence via an event element.
Blue hourglass: Number of users who are currently in a timer and are waiting for the next step.
Move contacts forward: This symbol lets you manually move contacts forward – ideal for skipping timers and moving test contacts quickly through a campaign.
Thanks to status mode, you can see how many contacts are currently at which element, who got stuck where, who’s waiting, and more.
The symbols also act as buttons that allow you to view the corresponding contacts in almost all cases – or even move them directly when using the "Move contacts" option.
⚠️ Note: If you make changes to a published campaign (but haven’t published those changes yet), they won’t show up in status mode – because they’re not live yet.
Once you activate status mode, you can also define a specific time range to analyze.
No display in status mode?
If nothing is showing in status mode, there could be several reasons:
-
There are no contacts in the campaign yet.
-
All contacts have been reset for the campaign.
-
An incorrect time range has been selected.
