Preparations for the test
Step-by-step:
- Set all timer elements in your sequences to 5 minutes. This ensures that you receive all emails within the test.
- Check if all your online pages used in the campaign are functional - e.g. pages with entry form or possible download and thank you pages.
- Publish your campaign.
Test email
You can send a test delivery to a test email address of your choice for each individual email. Under each email (except for the email confirmation), you will find the item "Test email". Enter your email address here to send yourself a test.
Please note:
-
Placeholders are not replaced in test emails
Campaign process
Call up your landing page with the integrated form. Register as a new user. You should receive your confirmation e-mail within a very short time.
Please note:
- If the address you sign up with is already confirmed, it will skip the double opt-in.
- If you sign up again, the contact for the campaign will have to be reset to go through it again.
- If you register more than 5 times in short succession, the flood protection takes effect and registration is no longer possible for 24 hours.
Open the status mode in the campaign (top right, next to the "Publish" button).
Under Contacts -> Overview you will find the newly registered user with the e-mail status Confirmed (single opt-in). Click on the confirmation link in the e-mail you receive. You will be redirected to your Thank You page. A moment later you should also receive the next e-mail from your e-mail sequence.
Publish
When you have finished creating your campaign, click on the green "Publish" button in the top right-hand corner. Now your campaign is online. If you make changes to your campaign afterwards, the green button will show you the number of changes. Don't forget to publish your changes after you have finished, so that they will be counted.
The status mode
Switch the status overview on by clicking on Status mode in the campaign. This status overview will help you to monitor the progress of your campaign. Above the icons of the elements you will find a series of symbols with numbers. The numbers reflect the number of users. The symbols have the following meaning:
Green tick: Processed. This is the total number of users who have successfully passed through the element since the campaign has been active.
Red circle with white square: Stopped. Number of users who are stopped at this point in the campaign (e.g. because no other element was connected).
Red circle with white bar: Finished (final): Number of users who have canceled the campaign at this point.
Blue male: Total number of users who are currently in a sequence.
Orange flag: The number of users who have left the sequence due to an event element is shown.
Blue hourglass: Number of users who are on timers and are waiting until they can continue.
With the help of the status mode, you can see how many contacts are / were on which element at that moment, how many are stopped where, how many contacts are waiting, etc.
The symbols are also buttons with which you can view the corresponding contacts in almost all cases or, in one case, move the contacts forward.
Dark blue with 2 triangles: You can move the contacts manually.
Note: If you make changes to a campaign that has already been published (and you have not yet published these changes), they will not yet be displayed in the status mode either - after all, they are not live yet.
As soon as you activate the status mode, you can also define a time period to be viewed.
