Before you get started:
Quentn is optimised for the Google Chrome browser. Although Quentn also works on other browsers (such as Firefox or Safari), problems may occur.
Therefore, we recommend that you always use the latest Chrome variant.
Create campaign
Click on “Campaigns” in the menu on the left and then on the green “Add campaign” button. Give the campaign a name.
If you have a Pro account or higher, you can also specify which users can manage this campaign.
You can also set up to 10 URL parameters for a campaign from a Pro account, which are then automatically attached to all trackable links and thank you pages of the email confirmation and the forms contained within this campaign. The main use case will probably be UTM parameters.
The Campaign Builder
As soon as you have created a campaign and open it, you will land in Quentn's "Campaign Builder". This is the centre of all email marketing activities. It is like a large, virtual board on which you create your campaign.
How to work in the Campaign Builder
A campaign is put together on a graphic interface in a check pattern. The check pattern is meant to help you find your way around. You have unlimited space on the board: simply slide it to the left, right, up and down with the left mouse button pressed (LMB for short).
Zooming
To zoom in or out of the campaign, either use the magnifying glass icons at the top left of the Campaign Builder, or scroll in or out with the mouse.
Next to the magnifying glass icons, there is another one with four arrows. Clicking on this icon will show you your entire campaign with all its elements.
At the top right of the Campaign Builder you will also see a mini-map. This shows you which area of the campaign you are currently viewing and where elements are still "hidden".
Arrange elements in Campaign Builder
Using drag & drop, you can drag the elements (we divide them into action and event items) from the left selection into the whiteboard and place them freely. By clicking on the red cross that appears when you click once on the element with the mouse, you can delete the elements at any time.
Connecting elements with each other / separating them from each other
The elements are linked to each other in a logical way in the direction of the arrow. If you move the mouse pointer over the element, a green arrow appears. "Touch it" (keep the left mouse button pressed) and guide it to another element while keeping the LMB pressed. The link is created automatically and is displayed graphically. Even if you arrange the object differently on the sheet later, this link remains intact.
If you want to remove a link, click on the connection arrow. By clicking on the red cross that appears, you can delete the connection again.
Configure elements
Each element has its own settings, which may vary depending on how it is used. Double-click in the middle of an element to open the element settings.
Select / copy / paste / delete elements
You can select multiple elements by holding down the Shift key and using the pressed left mouse button to select the elements in bundles or by clicking on them individually.
You can copy using the following key combinations:
Windows: Ctrl + C
Apple: Cmd + C
You can paste (also across campaigns) using the key combinations:
Windows: Ctrl + V
Apple: Cmd + V
Deleting elements can be done using the keyboard shortcuts:
Windows: Ctrl + Del
Apple: Delete
