With the “Forwarding” element, it is possible to create contacts during a forwarding from the URL parameters in Quentn.
This feature is available from a Pro account.
The element URL
You will need this later. As soon as a contact clicks on this URL, it is created in Quentn.
Target URL
First enter the target URL. This is where the contact should end up.
If you check the box “Use target URL from parameter”, you must first determine the parameter. If a contact then clicks on the link of the element URL, the system checks whether there is a parameter for another URL in the URL. If this is the case, the contact will be redirected to this URL instead of the target URL.
Appending parameters to the target URL
You can decide whether parameters should be appended to the target URL: All, None or Not used.
Unused could be selected if, for example, you want to pass UTM parameters to the target URL, while you no longer need the remaining data from which the contact was generated.
Send limit
Here you can specify how many requests are allowed per IP address per hour. 30 is the maximum number.
Parameter names for standard field
Now enter the names of the desired parameters as they will be used in the URL.
Please only use letters (a-z), numbers (1-9) and hyphens (-). Spaces are not allowed.
Please note the info boxes (click on question marks next to certain fields) with further instructions.
As soon as you have assigned all relevant fields, you can copy and use the element URL.
Application in a campaign
Please note that contacts created via the forwarding element in Quentn do not yet have a valid email status and therefore cannot be contacted. The contacts must first complete the double opt-in.
