WooCommerce is a free plug-in for WordPress, which adds the functionality of an online store to the content management system.
Connect Quentn and WooCommerce
- First, log in to your WordPress site where you have WooCommerce installed.
- Open Quentn in a new tab and log in.
You have two options to connect your account. Either, drag the WooCommerce event item into your campaign and double-click it to open it. Then you will be presented with the following window, where please click on the link:
You will then be redirected to your API info right away.
Alternatively:
- In Quentn, click on Settings and API Info.
- Now click on the tab "WooCommerce".
- Click on "Add new account".
- Copy the URL of your WordPress site (https://meinwordpress.de) and enter it into Quentn.
- WooCommerce will give you a hint what data Quentn is retrieving. Please click on "Approve."
- The connection has been successfully established.
Responding to a WooCommerce event in a campaign
- To respond to a WooCommerce event in Quentn, create a campaign or open an existing one.
- On the left side you will see the action and event elements. Open the event elements and drag "WooCommerce" into your campaign.
- Open the element with a double click.
You now have several events to react to:
- Order
- Customer
The order means the declaration of the purchase intention by clicking on "Order". A transaction does not have to have taken place yet.
Customer means that a customer account has been created or updated. Here also the customer number can be transferred into an own contact field of the type text.
Order
If you select "Order", you will again be offered two options: "Order placed" and "Order completed".
The difference: With "Order placed" you have only clicked on "Order", but no payment has taken place yet.
With "Order completed", the order has been placed, payment has been made, and the goods have been shipped or delivered.
Note: The e-mail status "confirmed" is only transferred to Quentn if you respond to a completed order, i.e. payment has been received!
Tag prefix
Here you can determine for a better overview if your tag should have a certain prefix and/or the name of the category or product tag added.
Guest order
Decide here if you also want to transfer guest orders - orders from contacts who have not created an account in WooCommerce.
Email status
The email status can only be automatically set to "confirmed" if the contact has actually purchased.
Products
Determine here if you want to respond to the order of all products (default). If this is not the case, remove the checkmark from "All products" and determine whether you want to respond to orders of
- specific products
- Categories
- tags
Then you can select those as well.
Field assignments
If you have created a contact field of type text, you can also transfer the customer number (customer ID).
