Email templates can save you a lot of time when you regularly send similar emails. The key is to think of a template primarily as a design template.
The content of your emails will usually change from one send to the next. The basic design, however — such as colors, fonts, spacing, buttons, headers, or footers — often stays the same.
This allows you to create a suitable design once and then reuse it as the starting point for future emails.
Option 1: Save an Email as a Template Directly from a Campaign
If you have already created and designed an email within a campaign, you can save that design directly as a template.
- Open the campaign you want and create an email.
- Design the email the way you want to use it later as a template.
- In the editor, click “Save as Template” on the right-hand side.
- The design will then be available in your templates.
This is especially useful if you realize while creating a campaign: I want to use this design again in the future.
Option 2: Create a New Template in the Templates Section
You can also create templates independently of a campaign.
In the main menu, go to:
Emails → Templates
Then click “Add.”
Here, you have two options:
- Add folder: This allows you to organize your templates, for example by newsletters, products, promotions, or different brands.
- Create new template: This lets you start designing a new email template right away.
Design Your Template
Once you have created a new template, you can design the email however you like.
You can either create the design yourself or use AI to help you.
When creating your template, focus on the elements that are likely to stay the same or similar in future emails, such as:
- Logo and header
- Fonts and font sizes
- Colors
- Spacing
- Button design
- Layout of individual sections
- Footer
- Recurring elements or notes
You can then replace the actual copy, offers, and content individually for each email.
Your Saved Templates
You can find all templates you have created under “My Templates.”
Here, you get an overview of your existing designs. Among other things, you can see:
- the template title
- a preview of the email
The three-dot menu for each template gives you access to additional options.
You can:
- edit the template
- set it as the default
- move it to a folder
- duplicate it
- delete it
The duplicate option is particularly useful if you want to create a slightly modified version of an existing design without changing the original template.
Quentn Templates
Under the “Quentn Templates” tab, you can find ready-made designs provided by Quentn.
You can use these as a starting point and customize them to match your own branding and requirements.
So you do not necessarily have to start from scratch.
My Emails
Under “My Emails,” you’ll find all emails you’ve already created and saved.
You can also use an existing email as the basis for creating a new email or a template.
To help you quickly find what you’re looking for, especially if you have a large number of emails, several search and filter options are available.
You can search by:
- Subject
- Email title
You can also choose which types of emails you want to display:
- All emails
- Newsletters
- Campaign emails
- Split test emails
Search Campaign Emails
If you filter by campaign emails, you’ll see the same folder structure you’ve set up in your campaign overview — provided you’re using folders there.
This makes it easier to narrow down your emails even further.
You can also search campaign emails by:
- Campaigns
- Sequences
This is especially useful if you have a large number of campaigns and email sequences in your account.
View Email Versions
Using the three-dot menu of an email, you can also view existing versions.
There is one important thing to keep in mind:
A new version is only created after you make changes to an email and then publish the campaign.
If you edit or overwrite the content of an email but do not publish the campaign afterward, no new version will be created.
So if you want to access an earlier version of an email later on, the corresponding change must first have been saved as a version by publishing the campaign.
Drafts
Under “Drafts,” you can find emails that you started but did not fully save or finish.
This can happen, for example, if:
- you accidentally closed the window,
- your internet connection was interrupted,
- or you left the email editor before finishing your work.
This allows you to continue working on unfinished emails instead of starting over.
My Rows
Under “My Rows,” you’ll find individual rows or content sections that you’ve saved.
This is helpful for elements you regularly use in different emails. Here, you’ll only see an overview, and you can only edit the title. To edit the row itself, you need to insert it into the editor, make your changes there, and then save the row again.
Find Templates Faster
If you build up a larger collection of templates over time, you can use the search function to find them more quickly.
You can search your templates by:
- subject
- template title
You can also switch the display of your template overview and choose between tile view and list view.
Tip: Think of a Template as a Design, Not a Finished Email
A template does not have to be a completely finished email.
Instead, think of it as a reusable foundation for your email design.
You define once what your emails should look like — and for future emails, you can focus on what actually changes: the content.
This keeps your emails visually consistent and saves you from rebuilding the design every time you create a new campaign.
