When you connect your browser to Quentn, you will immediately receive notifications as a system message (Windows/Apple), provided the browser is open.
Browsers from mobile devices or tablet PCs also support this method of notification. Please note that iPhones do not currently support browser notifications.
Connect current browser
To connect your current browser (which you also use for Quentn -> preferably Chrome), please proceed as follows:
- Click on Notifications -> Browser and click on the green button "Connect new browser". A pop-up will open.
- Click on the green button "Connect current browser". You will be redirected to the next page where a pin will be displayed. Click on Connect.
- Confirm that Quentn can send push notifications to your browser (browser pop-up).
- (Reload the page if necessary).
- You will now receive the message: "The browser was successfully connected. You can now close this tab".
Connect other browsers
Perhaps you are an administrator and want to set browser notifications for one of your employees, or want to enable browser notifications on another device (e.g. laptop or tablet PC). If this is the case, please proceed as follows:
- Click on Notifications -> Browser and click on the green button "Add new browser". A pop-up will open.
- Copy and send the URL for subscriptions and the pin.
- Open the URL from Step 2 in your new browser.
- Enter the pin in the text field and click on Connect.
- Confirm that Quentn can send push notifications to your browser (browser pop-up).
- (Reload the page if necessary).
- You will now receive the message: "The browser was successfully connected. You can now close this tab".
QR code (optional)
To connect your smartphone, you have the possibility of using the QR code to get to the URL for subscriptions.
- Take a photo of the QR code with a compatible QR code app on your smartphone. This will open the website to connect your smartphone.
- Now enter the pin in the text field and click on Connect.
- Confirm that Quentn can send push notifications to your browser (browser pop-up).
- (Reload the page if necessary).
- You will now receive the message: "The browser was successfully connected. You can now close this tab".
Send a test message to the browser
After you have successfully connected your browser, switch to the overview of connected browsers under Messages -> Browser. Click on the button Action -> Send test message in the list of the respective browsers. You should receive a test message in your browser. Your browser has now been successfully connected.
