The Indian tool Pabbly offers a small all-round package: email marketing, subscription payments, form creation, email verification and, most importantly, interface management similar to Zapier.
To connect Quentn and Pabbly, you'll need a Quentn Basic Account to enable the API.
Connect Pabbly and Quentn
To connect the two systems, you have the perform the following steps:
- Keep your Quentn system open by opening Pabbly in a new tab.
- Create a new workflow by clicking on "Create Workflow".
- Give the workflow a name.
- First select the trigger and then configure it.
- Select "Quentn" as the action.
- Determine what should happen, e.g. "Create or Update Contact".
- Now Pabbly will ask for the connection. Open the tab where you opened Quentn and go to Settings -> API Info. It is best to create an API key for Pabbly, copy it and enter it into Pabbly.
- Then copy the Base URL and enter it into Pabbly as well.
Create contacts in Quentn with tags
To start a campaign automatically in Quentn as soon as a contact is created via Pabbly, four steps are required after you've set up the trigger (i.e. the system and action to respond to):
Create or Update Contact
- Click on the plus sign under the trigger.
- Select Quentn as the app.
- As the action event, select “Create or Update Contact”.
- Now assign the contact fields. The most important one is “Primary Email”, which enables the contact to be created in Quentn. Pabbly also has “Secondary Email” as a mandatory field, for which you can simply take the email address from the first field.
- Click on “Save and Send Test Request”.
List Contacts by Mail
- Click on the plus sign under the trigger.
- Select Quentn as the app.
- As the action event, select “List Contacts by Mail”.
- Assign the “Primary E-Mail” contact field again.
- Click on “Save and Send Test Request”. This creates the test contact in Quentn and sends the contact ID. We need this step in preparation for assigning the tags, which we'll do next.
Add Tags to Contact
- Click on the plus sign under the trigger.
- Select Quentn as the app.
- As the action event, select “Add Tags to Contact”.
- Assign the contact ID.
- Select the tag from Quentn.
- Click on “Save and Send Test Request”.
Start Campaign
- Create a new campaign in Quentn and drag the "Tag Changed" event element into the Campaign Builder.
- After double-clicking the element, enter the tag assigned in Pabbly. This way, the campaign will start for all people who have received the tag.
- Now connect the Email Confirmation element to the previous element so that your new contacts complete the double opt-in process. Contacts who are already in your database will automatically skip the element, so they won't need to confirm their email again.
- Complete your campaign and publish it.
